With the temporary closure of the Jamaica Bay Inn in mid June of 2009, we wanted to take this opportunity to share some of our designers' vision and drawings for the all-new Jamaica Bay Inn. Located on Mother's Beach overlooking the stunning harbor in Marina del Rey, our hotel's waterfront location creates the relaxing atmosphere of a tropical resort and the hotel will be transformed to suit the name, Jamaica Bay Inn, with a design that resembles the colorful and relaxed style of a West Indies resort.

Experience a Vibrant Tropical Getaway

The entrance of the hotel will be marked by a porte-cochere that will serve as a landmark for the hotel. Upon arrival, guests will feel as though they have been transported to a richly verdant island in the Caribbean. The interior of the Jamaica Bay Inn will continue the West Indies theme and will feature a sophisticated understated island-inspired décor. The lobby will be turned into an elegant retreat featuring tropical textures such as rattan, rich wood, and leather. A stone fireplace will be a focal point and will create a relaxing atmosphere.

Explore a Jamaican Garden Oasis

To take advantage of the marina and waterfront location and atmosphere, many outdoor living spaces will be created. A patio featuring a shaded trellis will overlook the pool and marina. Guests will be able to access the beach along a garden path through a spacious lawn that can be used for gatherings. A decorative metal fence with a colorful festive landscaped border will animate the pedestrian walk along Mother's Beach and separate the pool deck from the promenade. The patio and pool area will feature lush tropical landscaping to create the feeling of an island paradise.

New guest amenities will include a meeting room, state-of-the-art exercise room, private dining room and patio. The Jamaica Bay Inn will also feature a restaurant that can be accessed through an independent entrance near the Palawan Way entry and will also feature a covered outdoor dining area that overlooks the beach and garden.

The tropical design of the Jamaica Bay Inn will provide guests with a fun and peaceful atmosphere. The Jamaica Bay Inn of Marina del Rey, CA is scheduled to reopen for guests in 2010.
