Activities in Los Angeles Are Just a Few Minutes’ Drive from Jamaica Bay Inn
There’s no shortage of fun things to do in Los Angeles, whether you enjoy outdoor activities, perusing museums and galleries or checking out unusual shopping and dining spots.
Venice Beach Boardwalk
For starters, there’s the colorful excitement of Venice Beach, where you can pass entertaining hours watching the people there. You can also try your luck fishing at the Boardwalk’s fishing pier, one of the only places you can fish without a license.
Hollywood
Of course no visit to the area would be complete without making time to see Hollywood. Movie legends of all eras have made this relatively small part of California famous. Sights not-to-miss include Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, the Griffith Observatory and the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Beverly Hills
Keep your camera handy because you never know when you might bump into your favorite movie star or musician while shopping the upscale boutiques or dining in the elegant cafés of Rodeo Drive.
The Getty Center
Home of the J. Paul Getty Museum, this is one of the cultural centers of the Los Angeles area. Guests enjoy participating in educational workshops, seeing diverse conservation projects and perusing the bookstore. Los Angeles County Museum of Art
Open every day except Wednesdays, this sizeable art museum is located on Wilshire Blvd. and features an extensive permanent collection of art from around the world and representing many medias. There are also several temporary exhibits, so even if you’ve been to this amazing art museum, there is always something new to see. Parking is free after 7pm in their 6th St. parking garage.
